I hope you have all had a fantastic summer! It’s been a busy one here at FPC and we are barreling toward fall full steam ahead! Obviously, I’m resuming the weekly e-news that will help you keep up with all that’s happening! I can’t wait to see everyone again very soon!

This Sunday
August 21– Two worship services: Rejoice in the Life Center at 9am; Traditional worship in the sanctuary at 11am. **Nursery care is available during worship services and during the 10am hour.
Also this Sunday, join us in the Welcome Center at 10am for the dedication of the Dolly Jacobs Memorial Welcome Center. There will be a brief dedication service followed by refreshments & lemonade in the Solarium.

Coming Up
August 28 – Join us in the Life Center for a pancake breakfast beginning at 9:30am!! This will be followed by ONE worship service in the sanctuary at 11 in which we will have our back to school blessing as well as ordain/install our incoming class of elders. **Nursery care will be available from 10:30 through the end of the worship service.
September 11 – Sunday school Kickoff! We invite parents and children to gather on the Paisley Playground (across Greene Street, behind the white house) for doughnuts, juice, and fellowship! Reconnect after the summer!
September 18 – Regular Sunday School resumes: Preschool (CORL 304); Kindergarten-2nd grade (CORL 303); 3rd-5th grades (CORL 306). Our Sunday school class for parents with children of ALL ages will also resume in the rear of the Life Center.
Also September 18 – Join us at the Diaper Bank from 3-5pm! More details and sign up to come!
Looking ahead – we’re bringing back Kids Disciple Club for 3rd-5th graders! We’ll meet on the first Sunday each month and the first one will be October 2 from 3-4:30pm!

Other Notes and Info
As we are in the process of finalizing plans for fall, we are still in need of some help! We are especially looking for Sunday school leaders for all grades. If you would be willing to lead 1-2 times a month, please let me know or reach out to Elizabeth Wilson at etwilson.tarheel@gmail.com.
