It’s hard to believe October is almost over!! Lots going on! 🙂

This Sunday
Trick or Treating!!! 🎃🎃 Preschool-elementary kids are invited to wear their costumes to church! We will meet at the back of the Life Center at 10am and travel through the church visiting adult classes, choir, and pastors as we collect treats! (PLEASE BRING YOUR BUCKETS!) We’ll end on the Greene Street Playground for more treats and play time.
**During this time, parents are encouraged to attend a visioning session in the Life Center to share your ideas about where FPC has been and where we should be headed! Nancy Godwin, Paul & Phyllis Parker, and nursery staff will be assisting me with chaperoning the children so you are free to attend! Nursery care will be open for the itty bitties as well. **Children under age three who want to go trick or treating should have a parent accompany them.

November 6 – We will return to regular Sunday school at 10 am.

- **Parents – Please join our November elective class, “Peace for the Holidays.” The first session will be in the Solarium and our congregational nurse, Karen Amirehsani, will lead this session about managing stress. Additional session with Maddy Lowman and Deborah Conner will take place on Nov. 13 & 20.
Also on November 6, Kids Disciple Club will meet from 3-4:30 in the Life Center. We’ll see what scripture says about gratitude, assemble blessing bags, and play games. If your child plans to attend and you would be willing to donate some items for the blessing bags, please SIGN UP HERE.
Mark your calendars for Nov. 20! We’ll have one worship service at 11am in the sanctuary for Stewardship/Dedication sunday followed by a potluck in the Life Center!

**Planning ahead for summer?!?! Mark your calendars for these dates:
- June 26-29 –Passport Kids Camp @ Brevard College – Passport Kids Camp is a 4-day, 3-night faith based camp for current 3rd-5th graders. FPC staff & volunteers will chaperone. SIGN UP to attend an interest/information session to get more details!
- July 31-August 3 – VBS/KDC – VBS is for rising threes-rising 2nd graders. KDC runs parallel and is for rising 3rd-5th graders. Lots more information coming in early 2023, but I wanted you to have the dates NOW!
- August 7-8 – Rising 6th graders (current 5th graders) ONLY to Great Wolf Lodge. This is an FPC tradition to welcome rising 6th graders to youth group!

Other Notes and Info
Mid week laughs! On Wednesday morning, I lead Weekday Preschool students in chapel along with John Alexander & Anne Albert. I use Godly Play with them, much like we have been doing for children’s time in worship. Today’s story was the Ten Commandments.
Me: I wonder what would happen if we took one of these away?
Child: You would only have nine left!!
