This Sunday
Please join us for a special Children’s Sabbath Sunday School at 10am! Children in preschool-5th grade are invited to come to the back of the Life Center with their parents for some interactive stations around our Children’s Sabbath theme: Peaceful Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Hopeful Spirits. This will be a time of learning and fellowship together!
Worship services at 9am (Rejoice!) and 11am (Sanctuary). Nursery care is available during worship and the Sunday School hour.

October 23: Regular Sunday – Preschool-5th grade will start our new Sunday School Unit called Follow Jesus.

-Families Growing in Faith (for Parents of all ages) – Back of the Life Center
- October 30: Trick or Treat!! children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to church! We’ll meet in the back of the Life Center at 10am and travel around the church collecting treats! Bring your buckets! **During this time, parents are encouraged to join the vision group in the back of the Life Center. This is YOUR chance to give input on where you think FPC should be headed!
- November 6, 13, 20 – Regular Sunday School – Follow Jesus Unit – **PARENTS are invited to join a special adult elective series
- November 20 – No church school for children & youth

**Planning ahead for summer?!?! Mark your calendars for these dates:
- June 26-29 –Passport Kids Camp @ Brevard College – Passport Kids Camp is a 4-day, 3-night faith based camp for current 3rd-5th graders. FPC staff & volunteers will chaperone. SIGN UP to attend an interest/information session to get more details!
- July 31-August 3 – VBS/KDC – VBS is for rising threes-rising 2nd graders. KDC runs parallel and is for rising 3rd-5th graders. Lots more information coming in early 2023, but I wanted you to have the dates NOW!
- August 7-8 – Rising 6th graders (current 5th graders) ONLY to Great Wolf Lodge. This is an FPC tradition to welcome rising 6th graders to youth group!

Other Notes and Info
Do you enjoy a good podcast? Check out Parents Take Five. It is a podcast created and hosted by a pastor, Jen Evans, who is also a mom and Christian educator. Each episode is only 5-8 minutes long and shares “tips and tricks on what it means to be a Christian parent today.”
Recently, I’ve also been using the Pray as You Go App/Website for daily devotions. Each one is about 10-12 minutes long and they include music, scripture, and reflection. It’s a great way to start the day and you could even listen in your car! Try it out!
