Off-site camps

FPC Week at Camp Grier

camp grierDescription: A couple of our children here at FPC have registered for the Explorer Summer Program during Week 6 of Camp Grier’s Summer Journey Series making this year the perfect year to join them! Campers hear the simple message of Jesus' love and enjoy the safety it brings. Explorers will investigate and become comfortable in nature while they stay at our beautiful 650-acre main camp in Old Fort, NC and hike, swim, and paddle around our campus. Registration can be completed online at Camp Grier's site.

Music Camps: Let It Shine!

DescriptionGet your toes tapping ‘cuz . . . . God’s Light is in YOU! Children will learn how to let their unique and beautiful selves shine in our world!  Kids will explore these concepts through singing, drumming, instruments, and movement led by experienced and creative musicians and teachers.

Where: Church campus
How much: $35
Description: God filled the world with lots of unique creatures – including YOU! Kids will learn that when feel different or afraid, nothing compares to the extraordinary love of Jesus! Children will learn a different Bible verse each day to remind them that, no matter what, Jesus loves you. Registration can be completed on the church website and must include payment. Paper forms may be picked up at church and must be accompanied by check to be complete. Scholarships are available for all camps.

Who: rising 3rd-rising 5th graders
July 14-17
Where: Church campus 
How much: $35
Description: Children will gather each day for Scripture followed by on- and off-site adventures for outreach and fellowship. On-site outreach will include working in the Giving Back Garden, Hot Dish & Hope and assisting with First School. We will work with Urban Ministry in our community and take a trip to Airbound Trampoline Park. Monetary and hands-on outreach will benefit Backpack Beginnings.

Whether or not you have children, please consider helping bring faith alive for our children by volunteering during one of our camps. Child care is available for our volunteers, and nursery children must be registered separately from children attending summer camp. All volunteers are required to attend our Children and Youth Child Protection Policy Training and complete all background screenings. Learn more about volunteering here.
