It's time to renew our support for Espwa, the children's home in Haiti, by sponsoring a child. This year we are asking for a donation of $250 a year to cover some basic needs for one child. Learn more.
Habitat Greensboro is sponsoring a building trip to La Ceiba, Honduras, April 17-25. La Ceiba is a port city on the Caribbean coast of northern Honduras. This is a unique opportunity to become an active partner with people of another culture.
Team members work alongside members of the host community, raising awareness of the burden of poverty housing, and building decent, affordable housing. As partners, participants help to build a true "global village" of love, homes, communities and hope!
Applicants should be at least 18 years of age (16 if accompanied by a parent or guardian) and have a valid passport. We build concrete block houses, but there are work opportunities for all ages and skill levels. It is expected that participants will be committed to the Christian mission of Habitat for Humanity – building safe, affordable housing for deserving families of all faiths.
The all-inclusive, anticipated cost of the trip will be $1,200-$1,300. Tours of local attractions are included. A non-refundable deposit of $100 must be submitted with your completed application to reserve your spot on the team.
Act now – there are only 24 spots available. For further information or an application, contact Lisa Reynolds at the Habitat Greensboro office, 275-4663 or lreynolds@hhgg.org, or trip leader Gerard Davidson, 644-0424 or gerard.davidson@smithmoorelaw.com.
