Trip to sister church in Cuba March 3-10

 

We have received a recent invitation from the women of our sister church in Varadero, Cuba, to celebrate the International Year of the Woman with them and other women of the Matanzas Presbytery in Cuba.

 

We will stay at the Beautiful Cersere Center in Varadero and will visit old Havana and spend one night at a church that our presbytery supports with a feeding program. We will also visit the Presbyterian seminary and work with women there on their arts and crafts projects, which they sell to support the seminary students. We will visit the Bay of Pigs for fun and fellowship with the Women of the Church and will stop on the way back to visit a maternity home which the church supports.

 

These are just some of the activities planned. The cost is $600 plus any spending money. The cost of airfare will be between $400 and $550. This trip is limited to 10-12 women. Because we recently received the invitation and because it takes a while to get the visas we need your $500 deposit no later than Jan. 10.
