A new year brings with it opportunities for new ideas to be born and challenges to be addressed. As such, the Pastoral Care Committee thought this was the perfect time to fill the congregation in on our many discussions over the past six months about FPC's pastoral care and its many ministries, and how we see those ministries evolving in 2012.
At its most recent meeting, the Session heard a report and proposal from Holly Chambers, Chair of the Chapel Organ Task Force.
On the third Wednesday of every month, Tamara Slaughter and I drive around Greensboro for 90 minutes—laughing, sharing news about our families, and visiting with some really nice folks. It's a date we look forward to—and something we've been doing for two years. Why? We are part of a team of FPC members who deliver hot meals once a month to the elderly through Mobile Meals.
