Oct. 29, 2009 — Cardio workout
We all know how important it is to keep our hearts healthy. That’s why fitness centers offer all kinds of cardio workouts – classes like Body Step, Body Pump and Body Attack.
Our hearts serve as our biological engine, pumping oxygen-filled blood up and down and through our bodies.
In another sense, we speak of the heart as a metaphor – as being the source of emotions, feelings and character. Our hearts serve as our relationship engine. It is where we find compassion and connect with God.
And in that sense, I wonder what kind of spiritual workout we need to keep this heart healthy?
