Oct. 23, 2009 — Time traveling

The movie The Time Traveler’s Wife is about the relationship between a man who gets pulled back and forth in time and the woman who loves him. But it is also, of course, about time.

The main character, Henry, cannot control his travels. That’s what creates the tension in the story.

Well, time travel is a fascinating idea – and my guess is that most of us would like to travel back in time and give ourselves a second chance at something that went wrong.

That, of course, will not happen. What can happen is allowing God to redeem our past and give us the spiritual resources for a meaningful future.
