Nov. 19, 2009 — Constant surprises

Everyone knows that life is full of surprises … some wonderful, some dreadful. Or as philosopher Forrest Gump said: “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”

And we don’t. Our lives are full of constant surprises. And the constant in life turns out to be the change perpetuated by the surprises that are just around the corner …. things, events and circumstances we had not foreseen or planned for. It certainly makes life interesting.

So when life throws you and me our next surprise, remember that we always know what we are “gonna get” from God: A constant source of faithful love and stability.
