just a thought

Nov. 17, 2009 — Where were you?

You've heard the song, "You Found Me." It goes, "I found God on the corner of First and Amistad, all alone smoking his last cigarette. I said, 'Where you been?' He said, 'Ask anything.' 'Where were you when everything was falling apart?' "

Well, many of us would like to ask God the same question. Band member Isaac Slade of The Fray says, "It demands so much of my faith to keep believing, keep hoping in the unseen. This song is about the feeling and the hope that I still have buried deep in my chest."

Well, things do fall apart, and our hope is that God will always find us and that we will always find God.

Just a thought. I'm Sid Batts from First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greensboro, fpcgreensboro.org.
