March 1, 2010 — That something good
After the cold winter months, it takes but a few warm days in March to jump-start our senses.
Some of us can see and feel ourselves standing on the first tee overlooking a lush green fairway. Others picture long runs in the sunlight or putting the boat in the water or grilling out on the deck.
We're restless and ready to go, and knowing that something good is in our future gives us energy for the present.
Being a spiritual person does that for us, too, because God is all about hope. God gives us a belief that something good is on the way, and that as God's people we are the agents that God will sometimes use to bring about that something good.
Just a thought. I'm Sid Batts from First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greensboro, fpcgreensboro.org.
