Jan. 26, 2010 — Where is God?

The 7.0 earthquake in Haiti was horrific. And when something as awful as that earthquake happens, people sometimes ask, "Where is God in all of this?"

Jesus answered that question long ago. God is suffering right alongside the people of Haiti.

In one of Jesus' parables, a king says, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink." Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?"

And in the parable, the king replies, "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
