just a thought

Jan. 14, 2010 — Grand Canyon

One hundred and two years ago this month, President Theodore Roosevelt declared the Grand Canyon a national monument. The move protected more than 800,000 acres around the 277-mile long canyon from private development.

"Let this great wonder of nature remain as it now is," he declared. "You cannot improve on it. But what you can do is keep it for your children, your children’s children and all who come after you."

Well, if we’ve ever stepped onto the rim of the Grand Canyon and seen its beauty and majesty, then we can’t help but feel gratitude for Roosevelt’s vision, but especially to God, the Grand Creator.
