Feb. 25, 2010 — TED

Each year, a small non-profit called TED invites interesting people who are experts in their fields to a conference in Long Beach, Calif. TED’s motto is “Ideas Worth Spreading.”

At the TED conference, “the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers are challenged to give the talk of their lives.” The trick is they only have 18 minutes to talk.

Which makes me wonder: If each of us were invited to give the talk of our lives, to think about all the things that have inspired us, frustrated us, fascinated us, and challenged us, what would we say?

My guess is that our 18 minutes would include the three Fs -- friends, family and faith.
