Feb. 11, 2010 — Second chances

After college graduation, Jacqueline wanted to travel. But her parents suggested she go on a few interviews first, just for the experience.

At a bank, she told her interviewer she didn’t really want to be a banker. She was only interviewing to please her parents. “That’s too bad,” he said, “because this job would’ve sent you to 40 countries in the next three years.”

She couldn’t believe she’d blown the chance to do what she always wanted to do. But the interviewer allowed her to start over, and she received the job.

Jacqueline got a second chance, but often that doesn’t happen. Where second chances do happen is with God – God is a God of many second chances.
