Feb. 5, 2010 — 'I am a vessel'
Meryl Streep has won more Golden Globe awards than any other actor or actress. This month she picked up trophy No. 7. She's also won two Oscars, and has received more nominations for both awards than anyone else.
Her latest Golden Globe came for her portrayal of Julia Child, the woman who taught America how to cook, and how to cook French.
When she accepted the award, she said, “I've made it clear that I am the vessel for telling other women's stories and other women's lives.”
Well, the apostle Paul described spiritual people as vessels – clay pots carrying forth good news, joy and love. Meryl Streep reminds us that we're all vessels, carrying God's story in our lives.
