Part-time (19 hours/week)
The primary role of this position is to create new content and update existing content for First Presbyterian Church's Web site, fpcgreensboro.org. Content on the site changes seasonally, monthly, weekly or several times a week. The information for the site comes from a variety of sources and often needs to be edited for length, clarity and accuracy, so writing and editing skills are important. The Web site also shares content with the church’s printed publications, so staying in touch with other church communications staff members is also essential. In addition to Web site updates, the Web content manager will also create and send weekly e-mails to church members, will create and administer blogs, will help keep the communication department's shared files organized and may be called on occasionally to take photos of church events or to work on occasional printed projects. Knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and other Creative Suite applications, along with basic Microsoft Office proficiency, is required.
