Christian Education is about growing in spirit and knowledge. It is about being in community with people who want to know more about God, about themselves and about what God knows about each of them.
In an article in Christian Century, pastoral counselor Russell Jones asked the question: “When God looks at [someone], who and what does God see? I try to see what a person can’t at the moment see: courage, wisdom, patience forgiveness, and the ability to do something he or she has never done before.”
For us at First Presbyterian Church, our ministry of Christian Education is designed to move us into moments of being able see ourselves and others as God sees us; and then helps us know what comes next!
