Service of Remembrance & Hope

Thursday, Dec. 7, 12:15 pm, Memorial Chapel: A service especially for those who have losed loved ones in the past year; open to all.

Children are welcome in all three services. Nursery will not be provided.

Pick up a copy of our 2017 Advent devotional, written by elders and staff members in the Welcome Center, Mullin Life Center circulation gallery, Tower Room & narthex.

View the Chrismon Tree, with ornaments made by our members, in the Tower Room & Mullin Life Center circulation gallery after Dec. 5.

Decorate the Gingerbread Church at Wednesday Fellowship Dinner on Dec. 6.

Sponsor a poinsettia in the Sanctuary for Christmas services.

Outreach

Shop Ten Thousand Villages in the Welcome Center Sunday, Dec. 3, 8 am to noon. For Christmas gifting, purchase handmade, fair-trade crafts & housewares from Asia, Africa, Latin America & the Middle East. Ten Thousand Villages, a fair-trade organization, is one of our ministry partners.

Buy Hot Dish & Hope honor cards. One of the regular guests at these Tuesday & Thursday dinners in Mullin Life Center is Shannon Stewart, who often shares his artistic talent on our paper placemats. Shannon created an angel at prayer for our 2017 card. Available in the Welcome Center for $5 each, all proceeds go to feed the hungry in our community.

Children's activities

Angel tree

Choose an angel from the trees in the Welcome Center and Corl Building entrance by Dec. 10. Angels are for preschool, elementary & teen boys and girls from FPC's Congolese immigrant families. Return unwrapped gifts to the trees by Dec. 19.

Welcome to the Light!

Sundays, 9:30 am: Grades K-5 will prepare their hearts and minds for Christmas at our Advent Prayer Stations.

Family Advent Matinee

We're going to see "The Star" at the Regal Grande 16, Friendly Center, Sunday, Dec. 3. RSVP by noon Nov. 30; discount tickets available if we have at least 25 people. 

Kids Disciple Club

KDC will hold a Christmas Party with children from FPC's Congolese immigrant families Sunday, Dec. 10, 4 to 5:30 pm, Welcome Center. Crafts, cookies & fun! Pick up in the Welcome Center at 5:30. RSVP helpful, not required: rsommers@ fpcgreensboro.org or 336-478-4722.

Preschool Chapel & Storytime

Los Posadas

Presbyterian Women Luncheon

Monday, Dec. 11, noon, Mullin Life Center: Children from FPC's Weekday Preschool will present the nativity. Honoring members of the Community Service group, with guests from Parkway Baptist Church.
