A wonderful group of ladies meets weekly for a time of fellowship and devotional meditation while providing hundreds of beautiful handmade items for distribution every year to people in need in our community and beyond.
Meetings: 10 a.m. each Wednesday
Location: Garden Room, Smith 106
Contacts: B.J. Williams, 288-8601, Hannah Britt, 288-9289, or Nancy Jewson, Well-Spring coordinator, 288-0333.
Their lovely work includes receiving blankets, baby afghans, small quilts, playmats, hats, sacques, sweaters, mittens, scarves, bereavement gowns for infants, lap robes, hospital gowns, mastectomy comfort pillows, hospital pads, walker caddies, slippers, toys, etc.
Distribution of the items is coordinated through social workers and mission contacts. The group is a subcommittee of Presbyterian Women and is open to any women in the community. The group makes supplies available for the projects. There is a satellite group that meets at Well-Spring Retirement Community.
