The purpose of Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

Presbyterian Women

As members of Presbyterian Women we have the opportunity to come together and learn more about each other and the roles we can play in the activities at First Presbyterian Church. Our goal is for the women of FPC to share love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in a way that enhances the life of everyone in our church community.

Community Service

A special group of ladies meets each Wednesday morning to hand craft a variety of items, which are donated to various organizations in the community.

Circles

Women who are part of a Presbyterian Women circle group enjoy spending time together at least once a month. During the fall of 2010, we'll be studying Revelation. Study guides are $9 ($13 for large-print.) Please call Brenda Frost, 288-0509, by May 31 to sign up.

Luncheons

All women are invited to the monthly Presbyterian Women luncheon on the second Monday of each month between September and May. Luncheons feature special speakers.
